Autism Spectrum
Executive Functioning & Brain Training for those on the Autism Spectrum
Autism begins in childhood and is related to brain development that impacts how a person perceives the environment, causing problems with social skills, empathy, communication, cognitive flexibility, behaviors, and sensory difficulties. It’s said to be ‘on the ‘spectrum’ as symptoms vary per person from mild to severe. The training develops stronger connections between neural networks by creating new pathways in the brain.
The nature of cognitive training is very appealing to those on the autism spectrum, it’s highly structured, consistent, regular, repetitive, and predictable. As a result of participation in our programs parents, teachers, and the students themselves report a range of improvements from being better able to make transitions, focus, tolerate change, solve social problems, and to feeling less anxious.
