Does Your Child Struggle?

On-Line  InWorld  Virtual Reality Social Skills group is a comprehensive educational group for children and adolescents.

Sessions are held for 1 hour and 15 minutes (on location) over an 8 week period or held online remotely.  This group is an online avatar-based virtual reality platform that offers a safe, controlled meeting place for professionals to conduct training sessions.

The Cutting Edge of Training

InWorld Virtual Reality Social Skills Training augments traditional face-to face therapy techniques by allowing each person to act, observe and react inside a virtual environment, rather than just express themselves verbally. This can lead to higher engagement, deeper insights and dramatic results from all participants.

The group teaches such skills as:

  •   Starting a Conversation
  •   How to Enter a Group Activity
  •   Anger Management
  •   How to be a “Good” Friend
  •   Winning and Losing
  •   How to Address Peer Pressure

Those who should consider attending these sessions are children with:

  •   Attention Deficit Disorder
  •   Low Self-Esteem
  •   Anxiety Developmental Difficulties
  •  (Aspergers, PDD Traits)

Your child will participate in:

Real world discussions and Virtual Reality based programming to practice newly learned skills. This allows students an opportunity to share experiences and get to know their peers.

Social Skills Videos

Video clips demonstrating and discussing various topics such as bullying, negotiating with peers and adults, accepting criticism and anger to name a few will be viewed and discussed.

Activities/Therapeutic Play

A variety of activities related to the topic that week will be utilized both in-world and in real world. Role playing via the use of avatars and virtual worlds allows children the freedom to explore and experiment more openly.While playing games in a virtual world children practice the skills they are learning in the group by using their personalized avatars in a variety of virtual worlds.

Home Activities/Parent Involvement

Parents will receive immediate feedback after each group along with home activities to reinforce new skills learned.

Children Ages 7-9, the session time is
5:30pm to   6:45pm

Children Ages 10-13, the session time is
7:00pm to 8:15pm

Payment Information

Groups are $40 per session totaling $320 for 8 sessions. Payment in full is required prior to the session beginning.
