Girls with ADHD are often are not identified due to the difference of their when compared with boys'.  Most girls "slip through the cracks” without the benefit of a diagnosis to explain the causes of their difficulties and thus do not receive the help they need. When a girl is not meeting expectations, she doesn’t fit in with others, and is continually being corrected. She begins to feel bad about herself. Upon diagnosis many don’t understand, expressing they are nothing like the boys they know with ADHD who are loud, hyper, pushy, and get into trouble at school. 

This group empowers girls with ADHD  to better cope with the challenges they face to achieve success. It is a safe place for girls to express their feelings and improve their self-esteem amongst their peers.
